Grisha Stewart, a dog trainer based in Seattle, Washington in the USA, developed a technique called BAT (Behaviour Adjustment Training) in 2009 to help with overcoming problems in her own dog's behaviour. BAT is a training method which helps with fear or aggression based problems in dogs. The technique encourages the dog to choose more socially acceptable behaviour by setting the dog up to rehearse that behaviour and receive real-life rewards.
