"Bionic Vet" Noel Fitzpatrick is a pioneer in the world of veterinary surgery. Crossbreed Millie, was referred to him after showing signs of sudden and severe pain.

In this video, we see what happens in an initial consultation to determine exactly what is causing the problem. Noel then goes on to tell Millie's owner, using both video and a model of the spine, where the problem lies and goes through some of the likely treatments and outcomes.

Noel explains how the problem is with a 'slipped disc', which is not actually accurate as a disk cannot slip, rather it bulges out and can press on nerves. This is known as Sciatica in humans and is surprisingly common.
