Anyone who has experience of training a dog to perform an action, such as 'sit', 'stand' etc will be familiar with the idea of using verbal cues or hand signals, but did you know that you can teach a dog to read a command?
Incredible as it may seem, a dog can be taught to respond to cue cards with written commands. In this video we see how Chris Mancini teaches our office dog Sandy, who has no experience of "reading", how to perform a 'down' in response to a cue card. Chris then shows us how the training can be widened to include other commands.
